The text you convert stays with you

The Encode and Decode tools run directly in your browser. When you type a sentence to turn it into Wingdings 1, Wingdings 2, Wingdings 3, or Webdings symbols — or paste in a string of symbols to turn back into English — that conversion happens on your own device. It isn’t sent to a server, saved to a file, or logged anywhere. Close the tab or clear the box, and it’s gone, whether you were decoding a line of Gaster-style text from Undertale or just messing around with a birthday message.

Basic site usage information

Like most websites, we can see general, non-personal information about visits to the site through standard analytics — things like which pages get visited, roughly which country a visitor is browsing from, what kind of device or browser was used, and how long someone stayed on a page. This helps us notice practical things, like whether a particular symbol isn’t displaying properly on certain phones, or whether the font-download guide is actually solving people’s problems.

None of this identifies you personally. It’s aggregate numbers, not a record tied to your name or your inputs.

Cookies

A small number of cookies may be stored by your browser to support the basic analytics described above — for example, to avoid counting the same visit twice. You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time in your browser’s settings. Doing so won’t affect the Wingdings/Webdings converter itself, since that tool works entirely on its own, independent of cookies.

Your rights

If data protection law in your region (such as the EU’s GDPR or California’s CCPA) gives you the right to ask what information is held about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, you’re welcome to send that request through the contact details below. Since we don’t store the text you convert or any personal profile in the first place, most such requests will simply confirm there’s nothing on file.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
